Laxmi the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity & abundance. ⠀

When it comes to money & abundance I like to use omens, lucky charms, mantras & ideas from different modalities. It makes it fun & why not. Take what you like – it’s nice to create rituals around things in a way that feels abundant & enjoyable to you. ⠀

I found these on a list on ‘How to be blessed by Goddess Lakshmi’⠀

💰 Salt ritual ⠀
Mix some raw salt in water & cleanse your home with the water – sprinkling it around or flicking it lightly out of a glass. It invites in abundance. It also removes all the negative energy from your house and gives you peace.⠀
💰Clean your home⠀
On the day of the new moon remove all the unnecessary items from your house, clean thoroughly. You can also sage your house, light incense or diffuse some wild orange oil ( the oil of abundance). Bringing you peace & prosperity.⠀
💰Respecting Women⠀
Respect women who come to your home or live in your home. Respecting women in general is good all round. Celebrating women, honouring them & sisterhood. ⠀
💰 Prevent Negative Energy⠀
After you’ve had visitors staying or people over, cleanse the energy of your home. Can be done with the salt ritual or saging or using an essential oil that cleanses energy. Removing the negative energy in order to get peace & prosperity.⠀
💰 Keep Salt covered ⠀
Never keep your salt jar open, in order to get wealth and prosperity. ( we have an open salt jar 😱)⠀ 💰Oiling the doors ⠀
Put oil on your door hinges and windows in order to prevent any sound – due to dryness. Such sound attracts huge negative energy and disturbs the prosperity of your house.⠀
💰Donate⠀
Donate to charities & worthy causes. Share your abundance it’s good karma & what you spend comes back multiplied.⠀
💰Plant Basil⠀
Grow a Holy basil (Tulsi) plant in an open place. It gives positive vibes, good luck, peace, prosperity, health, wealth and money⠀

I’ve got this one of Laxmi on my ‘altar’ – the place where I have crystals, affirmation cards, my diffuser & other lucky charms. My altar is also set up in the wealth & prosperity corner of the lounge – coming into the room it’s the far left corner. Far left corner of the whole house also. If you are renting or living with others you can focus on the far left corner of your own space. You can also do the far left corner of each room as well as the far left corner of your home.

Money Beliefs

If you have read this and are thinking that this is so materialistic, greedy, ‘ it’s not all about money’, ‘I don’t need money’, evil people have money… the list goes on.

You may have some money beliefs that you have picked up throughout your years. We can often absorb these beliefs from our parents. You need to ask yourself is this something you really believe or want to believe anymore. If these are beliefs/blocks that you want to work on I recommend tapping/EFT to work on these negative blocks and replace them with positive, abundant mindset money beliefs. You are worthy

We all deserve to live in abundance and have all that we desire. You are worthy of it all. If you are a good-hearted person then we need more people like you with money – you are able to make a difference in the world through the way you choose to spend your money.

💗You can help charities and causes that are working to create a fair, sustainable, clean, green, healthy, safe world for us and other people.

💗You can buy products that are fairly made and support local, small businesses and sustainable companies.

💗 You can use your money to start a business that solves an environmental problem.

💗You can build schools, water wells, support orphanages, educate people on sustainable living, give money to those in developing countries to start their own enterprises.

By good I mean – the environmentalists, the planet carers & savers, the humanitarians who work to help those who live in poor & unsafe conditions, the entrepreneurs helping people live there best lives, the heart-centered folk who care about fair trade, humanity, and this amazing planet we call home.

I haven’t posted on here with a full post for awhile. 

I’ve been doing my Fab Friday posts – they are abit of fun with four things I’m loving at the time,  to keep some thing regular.

I’ve been abit lost with what it is I want to be offering and talking about here.

So as you may have seen earlier this year I added Doterra as another product partner, along with Miessence. This added another dimension to my business. 
I have been trying to get clarity on what I want my site / brand to be about as I feel it’s going through an evolution. 

You may have noticed I’ve switched up my Facebook page to my name I had to change it a few times as it can’t be a radical change from the name you have on there already. I changed because Organic Goody was a name I chose a long time ago when I partnered with Miessence and didn’t feel like it encompassed all that I talk about.

How to start your own Gratitude practice 

I have almost finished my fave gratitude journal so was inspired to write this post.

Do you practice gratitude?

I guess I was first introduced to it via The Secret back in 2006. Which talks about being thankful for what you have now & talking in a present tense about future desires you wish to manifest.

Getting the gratitude journal from Kikki K helped me to make it a practice.

The journal has 3 spaces for each day. Here you write down three things you are grateful for. I often use up more than the three spaces depending how inspired I am.

A great tip from Marie Forleo was to really build out your gratitudes – write very detailed & specific descriptions for each grateful. Especially if it is something you are looking to bring into being – manifest.

Practicing gratitude brings more things to be grateful for into your life.

It’s a favourite practice of many well known figures – Oprah, Tony Robbins, Lewis Howes, Danielle LaPorte, Marie Forleo to name a few.

♥️ Shifts your perspective – changes the way your see the world

 

 

Some easy ways to get started with your Own gratitude practice

 

💗 Think of 3 things you are grateful for as you get out of bed

💗 Say ‘Thankyou’ with each step you take from the bed to the bathroom ( usually the first port of call) when you get up

💗 Start a gratitude ‘note’ in notes app on your phone. Write 3 things at a certain time each day or when you get a few minutes eg while waiting in line etc

💗 Get a notebook / gratitude journal like my new one. Another Kikki K gem.


💗 If you don’t want another notebook have a section in your current daily planner or journal.

💗 You can have reminders on your mirror, fridge or wall. ‘What are you grateful for today?’ Or even a scheduled reminder on your phone.

💗 Go around the table at meal time & each person says what they are grateful for today.

3 things you can do to start your day right

3 things you can do to start your day right

Here are three simple things that you can add to your morning routine to start your day right.

1. Start the day with Gratitude

As you step out of bed. Think of 3 things you are grateful for. As you walk to the bathroom or wherever you head to first, say ‘thank you’ with each step you take. Life will give you more of that which you appreciate. You can also write these 3 things down in your journal or create a gratitude journal if you wish.

2. Rehydrate, refresh, reboot

Have a nice warm glass of water with a lemon wedge squeezed into it. This will help rehydrate you, it’s got vitamin c in it & it will get your metabolism into gear for the day.

3. Have a good stretch.

Whether you are a morning exerciser or not, spend some time just stretching. It can help to go from toe to head stretching each area ‘in order’ to get it all covered & so you can remember where you are up to. Ankles, calves, quads, hamstrings, hips, back, chest, triceps, neck. Something like that just do the stretches you know for each area & hold them for a decent length of time.

Bonus – Morning pages

This is where you sit down pretty much as soon as you get up . ( in this case it would be before the stretching). You write a constant stream of thoughts & write 3 A4 size pages. It’s like a type of meditation really. You are writing whatever thought comes to your head & if nothing comes you write ‘I don’t know what to write’ until something pops up again. This clears your mind & brings up so many great ideas. Creative people often use this technique & it was via Julia Cameron that I first heard about it.
