Marjoram Essential Oil – Uses & Benefits

A focus on Marjoram. Marjoram is one of my favourites essential oils now. It wasn’t what I as expecting, to me it has a Floral herb scent. It’s calming properties supported my sleep & helped give me a sense of peace.

Oil of the week – This year I’m choosing an oil a week to focus on trying different ways of using it. I’m choosing oils which I haven’t used a lot. It works well with my Intentional living – using what I have, getting more value from what I have & going deeper with things.

Introduction to the Top 10 Essential oils – Lavender

I thought I would do an Introduction series on the top 10 Essential Oils

I’ll focus on one each week and I’ll go over

🔮 Common uses

🔮 Emotional support it can offer

🔮 Physical health support it can offer

Today I’ll start with one you probably have used or at least heard of

Lavender Lavender is an oil that every home could use whether you have kids or not. Lavender is an incredible & versatile oil.

Some of the many benefits of Lavender oil include

💜 Zap headaches – especially when used alongside peppermint oil

💜 Improves Mood

💜 Bug & bee stings – reduces swelling & inflammation

💜 Soothes skin conditions – dry flaky skin

💜 Beautfying for the skin – anti aging

💜 Calm & restful sleep – helps calm the farm with kids.

💜 Cuts, scrapes and burns

💜 Sunburn – lavender oil with water in a spray bottle for sunburn & windburn

Emotional benefits Lavender can offer

Lavender is a very calming oil. Promotes a peaceful feeling. Can help reduce stress and anxiety.

The oil of communication. It encourages emotional honesty allowing unconditional love & acceptance. Aids verbal expression of thoughts & feelings.

Ways that I have used Lavender oil in the last few months

💟 My daughter got a bee sting, we used Lavender oil to help reduce swelling on her toe. I also quickly whipped up her first roller ball of Lavender & fractionated coconut oil – this served as a distraction at the time & she loved to roll her own oil on her sting. She did also roll on her arm etc so this helped to create a calm feeling.

💟 I pop a drop with a little handful of Epsom salts in the kids bath each night. Can just do the drop alone as we do when we are out of salts.

💟 We use it in the diffuser in the bedroom often.

💟 I have a blend of Lavender, peppermint & lemon oils w coconut oil. This supports my seasonal allergies & lessens my sneeze per day rate.

💟 I have almond oil with Lavender & frankincense I use this daily on my face & décolletage for its beautifying properties 😉
Lavender is s
il. I didn’t think I used as much as I do but looking at the nearly empty bottle is testament to its use.

>>eaming of

1. Lavender sheets – spraying a water / Lavender mix on my sheets. Either on the bed, if I want to go all hotel spraying & ironing 😳, maybe I’ll spray just as about to pick them in off the line.

2. Lavender Latte – it’s a thing I’ve seen it on the internet it must be real. Doterra Lavender oil is safe to take internally, use topically & aromatically.

3. Make shower melts with Lavender oil

4. Diffuse w
