A focus on Marjoram. Marjoram is one of my favourites essential oils now. It wasn’t what I as expecting, to me it has a Floral herb scent. It’s calming properties supported my sleep & helped give me a sense of peace.
Oil of the week – This year I’m choosing an oil a week to focus on trying different ways of using it. I’m choosing oils which I haven’t used a lot. It works well with my Intentional living – using what I have, getting more value from what I have & going deeper with things.
What does Doterra say about its Marjoram oil?
🌿 Marjoram was once known as a symbol of joy and happiness in ancient cultures.
🌿 Valued for its calming properties and positive effect on the nervous system when taken internally*
🌿 Supports a healthy immune system when consumed
🌿 May promote a healthy cardiovascular system when ingested*
🌿 Used in cooking in baking just like the herb
Ways I used Marjoram this week
🌿 1-2 drops diluted in carrier oil then applied to the back of my neck & shoulders. Helps lessen stress & helps with muscle tension
🌿 Aromatically- the easiest way ever. Opening the bottle and taking a deep breath in to smell the oil. I was after Marjorams calming effects.
🌿 Sweet sleep diffuser blend via Natalie Blackburne . I used less oils.
1 drop of Marjoram
1 drop of Lavender
1 drop of cedarwood
🌿 Company diffuser blend via Natalie Blackburne.
2 drops of Marjoram
2 drops of Eucalyptus
1 drop of Tangerine
🌿 A drop of Marjoram on a handkerchief popped under my pillow to support sleep. Made my bed smell so good for a few days.
I loved these great ways to use Marjoram & I’ll be repeating.
Some other uses
💭 Apply to a fussy child’s feet prior to a nap.
💭 Replace Marjoram essential oil in your next recipe that calls for dried Marjoram.
💭 Apply to muscles before and after exercising.
I loved focusing on an oil like this & ‘getting to know’ the oil better.
