What do you want to see more of?

I haven’t posted on here with a full post for awhile. 

I’ve been doing my Fab Friday posts – they are abit of fun with four things I’m loving at the time,  to keep some thing regular.

I’ve been abit lost with what it is I want to be offering and talking about here.

So as you may have seen earlier this year I added Doterra as another product partner, along with Miessence. This added another dimension to my business. 
I have been trying to get clarity on what I want my site / brand to be about as I feel it’s going through an evolution. 

You may have noticed I’ve switched up my Facebook page to my name I had to change it a few times as it can’t be a radical change from the name you have on there already. I changed because Organic Goody was a name I chose a long time ago when I partnered with Miessence and didn’t feel like it encompassed all that I talk about.

We got our first major order of the oils yesterday and a new diffuser. The kids were so excited to get that thing going. It was nearing bedtime so went for the trusty old Lavender to help get them to dreamland.

What the hell do you do with those little bottles of good smelling ish?

Before being introduced to the magical land of Doterra I had very limited experience with essential oils.

I had used Lavender, Tea tree, Eucalyptus & a blend for a chakra. But I didn’t really know what else to do with the other scents and was just using generic brands. 

It was something I really wanted to get into because of the emotional and physical wellness support that essential oils can offer. But didn’t know where to start.  I am so excited to be learning as I go with these oils.

There is so much you can do with them –  all the blends that you can create. Also the different ways they can be used – some can be added to food, used topically or diffused.


A fav to diffuse is Lemongrass and Wild Orange aka Get shit done. I need it often to get me motivated for a productive day. Wild orange in Brownie is really good too – got that tip from Melissa Ambrosini. (she even DM’d me to let me know quantities – fangirling)

 

My new tribe

I have joined rad af team aka Team Unicorn  🦄 with lead unicorn 🦄 Leonie Dawson, who I have been a long time fangirl of. I have her shining year workbooks as well. The whole team is so supportive and have answered many of my questions in the facebook forums we are a part of.  We have live calls with them as well so its an awesome tribe to be a part of. I’m excited to introduce others to this awesome team.

How to start your own Gratitude practice 

I have almost finished my fave gratitude journal so was inspired to write this post.

Do you practice gratitude?

I guess I was first introduced to it via The Secret back in 2006. Which talks about being thankful for what you have now & talking in a present tense about future desires you wish to manifest.

Getting the gratitude journal from Kikki K helped me to make it a practice.

The journal has 3 spaces for each day. Here you write down three things you are grateful for. I often use up more than the three spaces depending how inspired I am.

A great tip from Marie Forleo was to really build out your gratitudes – write very detailed & specific descriptions for each grateful. Especially if it is something you are looking to bring into being – manifest.

Practicing gratitude brings more things to be grateful for into your life.

It’s a favourite practice of many well known figures – Oprah, Tony Robbins, Lewis Howes, Danielle LaPorte, Marie Forleo to name a few.

Some easy ways to get started with your Own gratitude practice

 

💗 Think of 3 things you are grateful for as you get out of bed

💗 Say ‘Thankyou’ with each step you take from the bed to the bathroom ( usually the first port of call) when you get up

💗 Start a gratitude ‘note’ in notes app on your phone. Write 3 things at a certain time each day or when you get a few minutes eg while waiting in line etc

💗 Get a notebook / gratitude journal like my new one. Another Kikki K gem.


💗 If you don’t want another notebook have a section in your current daily planner or journal.

💗 You can have reminders on your mirror, fridge or wall. ‘What are you grateful for today?’ Or even a scheduled reminder on your phone.

💗 Go around the table at meal time & each person says what they are grateful for today.

💗 You can join a gratitude challenge on Instagram or do your own one like this

Make your life whole & full

At the end of 2007 I was living in Fiji. I saw a book review on Oprah.com about Eat Pray Love.

Looking at this & other books I had recently read including The Secret & even a fictional book I did picked up at a Fiji bookstore – The Ya yas in bloom.

All the books had examples of enjoying the pleasures in life, the small things like colours, smells, tastes, scenery, friends & family ( well they aren’t small)

Really enjoying everything, making everything you do a wonderful experience, treating the essential everyday things such as eating as a ritual. Embossing all the details so life is exciting & beautiful.
